His name is the Word of God

The word of God revealed to us and dwelt among us that word of God is Jesus Christ,he was there before the creations and will be there even after the creation.For Jesus declared that heaven and earth shall pass away but the word of God will still remain it will never pass away(Matthew 24:35).God also spoke to the children of Israel through Moses his servant and told them that man doesn't live on bread alone but by every word that comes out of the mouth of the LORD(Deuteronomy 8:3)This teaches us  how to totally depend and trust in God and not to live according to what we see or know but to live in Faith without fear or doubt in his word and through his word(Christ Jesus)and to live according to what the word of God tell us.In our Christian walk or walk to follow Jesus we are required to study the word of God and hide it in our heart so that we may not sin against God,the word of God gives us away out of temptation,the word of God shines a light upon our path so that we may see clearly where we are going,the word of God is our weapon of warfare and the word of God is Jesus Christ.The more we read the Word of God and spend time to know the Word of God,the more the person Of Jesus Christ is revealed in us and the more our faith in God is established and our knowledge of him is increased.Therefore let us make it our ambition to spend time in the Word of God and with the word of God.For the word of God is the name of the son of God king of Kings and Lord of Lords(Revelations !9:12-13)

  1. I couldn’t agree any more, total dependency and Trust on The Word of God is everything and this is how it does from my viewpoint;
    1. Saves and encrypts our names in the book of life. Eph. 1:13 talks of us hearing the word of the truth, saved by it and thereafter believing it to the point that we are sealed with the Holy Spirit to the promise. James also writes in Jam 1:21 that the engrafted Word of God saves our souls from all filthiness (such as we the remnant church are experiencing today). Finally, Paul reiterates that we are saved through this Gospel in 1 Cor. 15:2.
    2. The Word of God is the Foundation of our Faith (Rom. 10:17; John 17:20) and nourished by the same faith (Phil. 1:27).
    3. The Word of the Gospel works wonders in regenerating our new lives as believers. From our new birth spiritually of ‘the incorruptible seed’ (1 Peter 1:23), the Word of God begins to live in us and remains forever. And James continues to highlight this transformative nature of the Word by saying that God makes us His children through the His very Word of truth (James 1:18). Paul tells the Corinthians that he has begotten them again through the Gospel (1 Cor. 4:15). Because the Word creates new life by causing us to share in Christ's life, it is called life. "The words which I speak are spirit and life," Jesus says (John 6:63); meaning that they convey the Spirit of God and life.
    4. The Word of the Gospel works hope to humanity especially from these end times events unfolding. The earthquake disaster in Japan and the threats of another Chernobyl Nuclear catastrophe is daunting the world today with concerns of the future but ‘the Gospel’ re-assures us about the future, viz., "the hope which is laid up for us in heaven" (Col. 1:5). The Gospel not merely declares this hope, but we now have a share in it by virtue of the Gospel message (Col. 1:23). And this hope changes our outlook and point of view: we recognize that our "conversation (RSV: commonwealth) is in heaven." (Phil. 3:20)
    5. Finally the Word is a source of strength for every issue of life. The Gospel is not only the Gospel of comfort and peace (Eph. 6:15). It not only enables us to speak confidently to God and know full well that our petitions are heard (John 15:7).
